Dr Mark Flynn is a globally focused medical leader and strategist. Mark has held senior executive leadership positions at Cochlear Ltd, Demant A/S, and University of Newcastle as well as for medical start-ups in Europe (e.g. Wise Neuro & IQORO), and Australia (e.g. Hemideina, Sound Scouts, & Atmo Biosciences). Launched over 25 medical devices, digital health solutions, and services into global markets. At University of Newcastle, he was Executive Director responsible for the establishment of the cross University Global Impact Cluster for Health Innovation. Most recently he collaborates with Cicada Innovations and NSWHealth on the research, innovation and commercialisation of medical devices. Awarded a PhD (Medicine) from the University of Melbourne and later dual MBAs from Georgetown University (USA) and ESADE School of Business and Law (Spain). The inventor of 17 international patent families, author of over 100 publications, and awarded over $72M in non-dilutional research funding.
