Workshops (blog style)

Outside Opinion offers a comprehensive range of workshops, mentoring programs and retreats on grant development, research and academic capacity building, strategic planning, writing and publishing and leadership across the higher education sector. 

All workshops can be tailored to focus on a specific grant scheme, discipline group or academic career stage.
Workshops may be run face-to-face or online, with breakout exercises and peer-to-peer engagement in either mode.

This two-hour workshop provides an overview of how ERA2018 worked to assess FOR codes and areas in order to consider:

  • How researchers/research directors/managers can consider ERA2023 in their publication choices and strategy;

  • Thematic alignment of research areas and strengths (the Explanatory Statement) and how to shape and curate groups of research;

  • How best to present NTROs – planning for and preparing Research Statements, Portfolios, etc.

  • Considering the new ANZSRC codes and how to use them
