Workshops (blog style)

Outside Opinion offers a comprehensive range of workshops, mentoring programs and retreats on grant development, research and academic capacity building, strategic planning, writing and publishing and leadership across the higher education sector. 

All workshops can be tailored to focus on a specific grant scheme, discipline group or academic career stage.
Workshops may be run face-to-face or online, with breakout exercises and peer-to-peer engagement in either mode.

This workshop is designed for HDRs, ECRs and covers: When to publish, where to publish, strategies for choosing an ‘outlet’, avoiding pitfalls and career planning, factoring in university expectations and disciplinary norms

Paula has worked with organisations in the public, private and community sectors on inter-disciplinary, collaborative research which advances social justice in and beyond the workplace. She has been awarded 8 Australian Research Council grants including a Future Fellowship from 2013-16; five as lead investigator. She has published 120 academic journal articles, books, chapters and industry reports.
