Lachlan Smith is the Director of Cloud Chamber, a UK based consultancy working with government departments, Higher Education Institutions, Research funders, local authorities, charities and foundations. His experience includes:
Research development and strategy support in UK higher education since 2012. Bid support, impact evaluations and qualitative research.
Providing direct research development support to Warwick Business School, Warwick Social Sciences and Humanities faculties and a range of other institutions across the UK.
Supporting academics apply to significant UK funders including British Academy, Leverhulme Trust, Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and various European Funders
Evaluations of research for development initiatives funded by ESRC, FCDO and the UK national academies. Strong understanding of GCRF research funding schemes.
Project director for impact evaluations of British Academy Post-doctoral Fellowship and Mid-career Fellowship programmes
